Award Winning "BIG RED Blog" – Award From

June 10, 2011 by Will Schnier P.E.

We’re pleased to announce that has named our BIG RED Blog one of the top 50 civil engineering blogs in the world!

From their website: Civil engineers are arguably responsible for making the world go round. Seriously — they construct works of architecture that get all of us to and fro, such as bridges, tunnels, roads, and ports. In the twenty-first century, the role of civil engineer has taken on additional, environmentally conscious definitions. Because of their calling to dictate the transportation of communities, civil engineers now feel directly responsible for how efficiently and waste-free we can move about. It’s a noble update to a great profession. Fortunately, many of those in the fields are blogging about their passion. Here’s our selection of the best fifty of those blogs.
