BIG RED DOG Gives Back

November 28, 2015 by Russell Yeager

For the last three years, BIG RED DOG San Antonio has volunteered to help prepare turkey, yams, green beans, and all of Thanksgiving’s traditional side dishes for the annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner. This year was no exception. Members of our team always look forward to the opportunity to serve members of the local community, and the Jimenez Dinner is one of the most worthy causes around.

Every year, The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner provides senior citizens and less fortunate a safe place to enjoy a meal on Thanksgiving Day. Over the last 36 years, the dinner has grown from feeding a few dozen people, to serving over 25,000 people a full Thanksgiving feast. With the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio as the scene, the event invites those in need to dine at a “community dinner table”, celebrate the holiday with their fellow “San Antonians”, and enjoy live music and entertainment.

The Dinner is now the largest Thanksgiving benefit in the country, and BIG RED DOG is proud to be part of it.
