BIG RED DOG promotes Shannon Boyd to Chief Operating Officer

Austin – BIG RED DOG  is proud to announce the promotion of Shannon Boyd to Chief Operating Officer. Shannon Boyd joined BIG RED DOG in 2015 and previously served as a Vice President for the company and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) practice leader in the Austin office.

Local Austin projects that have benefited from Shannon Boyd’s expertise include the Colorado Tower, the South Congress Hotel, iFly Indoor Skydiving, Circuit of the Americas, Capstar at Compass Plaza, Steiner Ranch Steakhouse, Callaway House West Campus, Sonesta Hotel at the Hill Country Galleria, and many other local projects. Boyd had previously been a Vice President at local Austin MEP firm for the past 11 years. Boyd holds a BA from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and is a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) as designated by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and is a green building LEED accredited professional (LEEP AP).

BIG RED DOG provides civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering, structural engineering, and traffic engineering for real estate, infrastructure, and natural resource development on behalf of public and private clients. The seven-year old Texas-based company employs over 100 engineering professionals in top Texas markets Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas. BIG RED DOG continues to grow and gain recognition for their expansion. The Austin Business Journal recently awarded the company 9th place in its Fast 50 contest, which highlights area companies that have grown rapidly in the past three years.
