Construction Update: MLK Station Apartments

BIG RED DOG is working with Greystar, Meeks + Partners, and TBG on the MLK Station Apartments project (also known as Elan Eastside), located at East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Alexander Avenue in East Austin. MLK Station is a mixed use, multifamily project, and will have 355 units in multiple 3- and 4-story buildings on 8.3 acres.

MLK Station Apartments will be located next to the CapMetro Red Line MLK Station, providing residents with more transportation options within walking distance. There will also be over 500 parking spaces in surface and structured parking to accommodate residents, guests, and retail customers.


The apartments will feature some unique units where the space doubles as both a place to live and work. Of the 600,000 total square feet, residents and neighbors will have access to about 11,000square feet of restaurant and retail space.

Construction started on the site in March. Civil Engineering services provided by BIG RED DOG Austin include: preliminary engineering and concept design, easement preparation, site development permitting, license agreement preparation, storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), and construction phase services.
