Construction Update: Tyndall at Robertson Hill Topping Out Ceremony (VIDEO)

White Construction Company held the “topping out” ceremony for the Tyndall at Robertson Hill project on Friday, February 16th. A topping out ceremony is typically held to celebrate an important milestone during the construction of a building – when the structure reaches its highest point. Members of the construction, design, and development teams signed the final steel beam before it was hoisted to the top level for installation. Check out the video below:

BIG RED DOG provided the Civil and MEP Engineering services for this project, which is being developed by Momark in downtown Austin, just east of I-35. The ±170,000 square foot project features 6 residential levels with 182 residences and two levels of parking on a 1.6-acre site.

White Construction is the general contractor for the project, and other members of the project team include Humphreys & Partners Architects, L.P., dwg., Leap! Structures, and Matador Project Solutions.  The project is scheduled to be completed in 2018.

Joel eventually migrated South and earned his Master of Science in Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Joel’s experience includes working on the design and/or construction of multiple airport expansions, multi-family properties, higher education facilities and commercial buildings.
