E-Week 2019: Ava Lamb – Structural Engineer

February 21, 2019 by Raili Flint

National Engineers Week, also known as E-Week, is a week-long event that is dedicated to promoting the importance of technical education to motivate the youth to pursue engineering careers.

E-Week 2019

As we continue this week’s spotlight on our amazing team members, structural engineer Ava Lamb is a strong advocate for young people pursuing a profession in engineering. Her advice, if you like “seeing a physical result of your work, then engineering is an awesome choice.”

Structural engineering focuses on the framework of structures, and on designing those structures to withstand the stresses and pressures of their environment and remain safe, stable and secure throughout their use.

Tomorrow, we will hear from one of our transportation engineers for some input on the field. To learn more about National Engineers Week, Click Here.
