E-Week 2019: Matthew Johnson – Mechanical Engineer

February 20, 2019 by Raili Flint

National Engineers Week, also known as E-Week, is a week-long event that is dedicated to promoting the importance of technical education to motivate the youth to pursue engineering careers.

E-Week 2019

As we continue this week’s spotlight on our amazing team members, mechanical engineer Matthew Johnson believes it is important for the youth to pursue engineering careers because it helps you solve real world problems.

At BIG RED DOG, Matthew is involved with the design of HVAC systems for multi-family residential, retail, and commercial office buildings. Mechanical engineering is a very broad discipline – they can also design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.

Tomorrow, we will hear from one of our structural engineers for some input on the field. To learn more about National Engineers Week, Click Here.
