Just Opened: Hyatt Place at Austin Bergstrom International Airport

BIG RED DOG worked with LK Architecture, Journeyman Construction and Noble Surveying & Engineering Works on the Hyatt Place Hotel located at 9532 Spirit of Austin Lane right next to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The project features 4-stories of hospitality, 139 guestrooms and suites featuring a cozy corner with sofa-sleeper, free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, free hotel shuttle to the airport, bar, 24/7 gym and business center, outdoor pool and 1,937 square feet of meeting and event space.

The project is only a few blocks from Live Oak Brewing Company and only 15 minutes from downtown Austin which includes the Austin Convention Center, Rainey Street and the famous 6th Street. Some other attractions nearby include McKinney Falls State Park and the Circuit of the Americas.

MEP Engineering services provided by BIG RED DOG-Austin included Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering & design along with Construction Administration services throughout the project.

Marc Remmert is the Director of MEP Engineering for BIG RED DOG. He is a member of IEEE and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. Marc graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Originally from St. Louis Missouri, he made his way to Austin and brings several years of experience to our team. His electrical construction and design experience includes work on large scale data centers, multi-family, industrial, commercial, tenant finish and specialty recreational spaces.
