According to an Aug. 31 news release from Joel Blok, a construction manager with Big Red Dog, the firm that performed the project’s preliminary engineering and design, the development incorporates six residential buildings on the campus as well as a negative-edge swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and firepit.

Additionally, more than 15 acres of the 37-acre tract will be dedicated green space, with the site’s trees intact, the release states.

“We’re just going to construction shortly,” Mende said of the project.

Lynd at Lake Travis will be located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, and therefore its residents will not receive city services nor be obligated to pay city taxes.

Lynd, 37, the project’s developer, is part of the real estate firm that developed The Bowie in downtown Austin, the Lynd website states. Lynd did not respond to the View’s attempts to contact him by email and telephone.

The development will be serviced by Water Control and Improvement District 17, WCID 17 General Manager Jason Homan said.
