Big Red Dog has had a busy year so far. Its work for the Peanut Factory Lofts debuted this year to the public; the 300-unit District at Medical Center wrapped up this past April and work for the student housing and multifamily complex, Vitre, is ready to start construction this fall.
Since opening offices in San Antonio in July of 2011, Big Red Dog has nabbed some of the most cutting-edge projects built in this city. Its portfolio includes multifamily developments such as the Aviator Apartments, Merchants Ice House, Elan Riverwalk, 1130 Broadway St., among other commercial, residential and retail projects.
I sit down with Russell Yeager, the firm’s San Antonio vice president, at least once a month, and whenever we do we start talking about what’s going on downtown. Big Red Dog has committed itself to helping revitalize the downtown area and turn it into the urban center businesses and residents alike are wishing it would become.
Big Red Dog also won a spot on this year’s San Antonio Business Journal Best Places to Work among small companies, the awards for which will be handed out at tomorrow’s event.
Here are some of the other projects Big Red Dog will be working on throughout this year:
- Rivera Apartments on Broadway
- In-N-Out Burger Windcrest
- Villa Espada in South San Antonio
- The Park at Lonestar
- The Roosevelt project
- The Sunglo project in Southtown
