June 23, 2015 by Talmage Hansen

BIG RED DOG ENGINEERING was at the Bisnow event this morning: The Dallas Multifamily Boom: What’s Next?

The event featured executives from Berkadia, Gables Residential, AMLI, KeyBank and more.

Did you know that the Dallas‬ and Fort Worth multifamily market absorbed almost 20,000 apartment units during the past year? The result translates to a 6.5% rent increase and 95.5% occupancy.

Development continues to boom throughout the region as rents are increasing and vacancy is shrinking. Experts say we have 2-4 years left of exceptional demand and rent increases in Dallas with one expert predicting at least 7 or 8 more years.

The keynote speaker for the event was Jay Denton, Senior Vice President from Axiometrics. Expert panelits included Sue Ansel, CEO of Gables, Vik Clark from Hunt Mortgage Group, Steve Wernick, Managing Director for Berkadia (and the event’s lead sponsor), and Greg Mutz, CEO of AMLI.
