At BIG RED DOG, we like to reflect on our team members that make our organization strong, creative, and supremely capable. Our team members put forth extraordinary efforts on behalf of our clients and they deserve to be recognized. This edition of our staff spotlight series introduces us to Clint Legendre, a Structural BIM Technician in our Sugar Land office. Learn more about Clint below!
What was the last book you read? QBQ! The Question Behind the Question by John G. Miller.
What’s your favorite place to eat in your hometown? The Jay Cafe.
Describe your ideal vacation. A combination of hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting in Alaska for at least 2 weeks.
What would be impossible for you to give up? Whataburger!
Tell us something interesting about you. I have three incredible, brilliant, talented children who have made me the man I am today.
Everyone at BIG RED DOG has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours? I was not very familiar with BIG RED DOG when I heard that they were acquiring the small firm I was working for, but the more I learned about the company and the people the more excited I got about being a part of a company with such positive energy and such an aggressive growth plan.
What drew you to the engineering field? I have always been fascinated with carpentry and construction, but I am terrible at actually doing it in the real world. Being a structural designer, especially with the invention of 3D and BIM software, I can build anything without hitting my thumb with a hammer.
What types of projects have you worked on? Multifamily, tiltwall panel (retail), elevated post tension concrete parking structures, monolithic concrete domes, tunnel form, offshore steel topsides, offshore floating spars, single family foundations, interior retail build-outs (malls), and more.
What do you like to do in your free time? Anything with my kids…. Wait, what free time?
Thanks, Clint. Welcome to the team!
