Tell us something interesting about you:
Even though I’m typically a quiet guy, I was actually a vocalist for a heavy metal band for about 6 years.
What drew you to the engineering field?
Engineering has always intrigued me, even at a young age. I was always out playing in the dirt building tunnels or making zip lines. My parents stopped buying me a lot of toys because I would just take them apart and make things out of them.
Everyone at BIG RED DOG has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?
I Interviewed with BRD about three years ago, but it wasn’t the right time for me to switch companies till recently. I was sitting in my old office bored out of my mind and decided to reach back out to Chance (a BIG RED DOG Principal) and here I am.
Where did you go to school?
Aransas Pass High School
What was your first job?
I grew up in a family that loves fishing, so my first job was commercial fishing. At the age of 16 I had my own boat and captains license, but my parents had to take me to the harbor because I didn’t have a drivers license yet.
Who or what inspires you?
I find inspiration in so many areas. I can’t really limit it to one source. The world is full of inspiration, it’s up to us whether or not we see it.
What’s your favorite place to eat in your hometown?
Redfish Willies sits right on the harbor.
What’s your favorite news source?
What was the last book you read?
All the light we cannot see.
Describe your ideal vacation:
A beautiful island where I can fish and surf.
Who is your favorite sports team?
I don’t watch sports. I’m the guy that goes to super bowl parties just to eat wings. Most of the time I don’t even know who is playing.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
