James Schwerdtfeger is a Public Infrastructure Team Leader in Austin. James has professional expertise in Traffic and Transportation Engineering, specializing in Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) studies, traffic signal design, and roadway and intersection design. James brings more than 15 years of experience providing traffic engineering services in the Central Texas area.
James graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and is a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Prior to joining BIG RED DOG as a Vice President, James was the President of R-K Traffic Engineering, in Austin, Texas.
A member of the Institute of Traffic Engineers, James’ main focus has been traffic operations engineering, but he has taken the lead on a wide variety of projects including sidewalk/trail, ADA, major roadway design, and intersection design.
