Shaun Theriot-Smith is a Project Engineer in our Houston office. He helps commercial real estate developers execute their vision as a trusted consultant and advisor on projects from a variety of land uses including retail, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, residential, mixed-use, public works, and utility.
Shaun brings value to the deal through due diligence and thorough site research; preliminary engineering and site optimization; design of utilities, detention, grading, and water quality; permitting and construction phase consulting. He establishes enduring professional relationships with the City of Houston, Harris County, and the surrounding municipalities to ensure developer’s needs are advocated for.
A US Army veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, Shaun first became passionate to build communities at home by helping build those abroad. He is a proud alumnus and former Student Body President of the University of Houston and is father to two incredible twin girls and a son along with his incomparable spouse, Paige.
Shaun currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District as an appointment by the City of Houston Mayor and is a member of several local organizations including ULI, NAIOP, ASCE, and AWBD. He also sits on the Student Veteran Advisory Board at the University of Houston.
