Travis Flats Groundbreaking

June 4, 2019 by Marc Remmert

Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Travis Flats, a 146-unit affordable housing project in Austin, Texas!

This unique project is being built on county-owned land and will be the first mixed-use, mixed-income development of its kind in the region. It will bring much-needed affordable housing and jobs to a central location.

The multifamily component of this mixed-use development is being led by DMA Development in conjunction with the Travis County Housing Finance Corporation. Nelsen Partners is the architect and we are providing MEP Engineering services.

The overall development will also include an 80,000+ SF office component, which is being developed by Southwest Strategies Group. It will house Travis County’s flagship Health and Human Services offices, Veterans Services, and Passport and Jury Services, as well as a small community retail space.
