In May, we told you all about Vitre, a new project that would bring BIG RED DOG San Antonio and Cadence McShane to build a new multi-family midrise apartment complex. Ground was officially broken on the site on September 29th, and construction is now set to continue full speed ahead. Big Red Dog’s involvement in this project includes entitlement support, dry and wet utility coordination, and site development construction documents that include utility coordination, site grading and construction phase services.
Twenty months from now, the complex will be home to 242 apartment units, and 5,100 square feet of retail space. Vitre, which means window pane in French, is said to be the future window to the Westside. Located just one block from the University of Texas at San Antonio’s downtown campus, the new residential units will soon provide students a comfortable, affordable place to live downtown.
The project is a fantastic opportunity to catalyze west side development and is one of the first true mixed use developments west of downtown. The project will include a gym, pool, garage parking, rooftop terrace, and community club spaces.
If you have any questions about Vitre developments and updates, please feel free to contact Big Red Dog.
